Neurodiversity Consulting
Neurodivergence is a term used to describe individuals whose brain function, learning style, and behavioral patterns tend to differ from societal norms. Some common types of neurodivergence include autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorders, and complex instructional needs (i.e., dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia). While being neurodivergent lends itself to a multitude of strengths and talents, there are also inherent challenges given that the majority of settings are designed to meet the needs of neurotypical individuals.
Given the fast pace and changing expectations of modern times, it can be beneficial to receive specific feedback, tips, and suggestions regarding how to further support yourself or a loved one who is neurodivergent. This can be particularly beneficial if you feel "stuck," caught in a repetitive pattern, or uncertain of next best steps to promote change.
One of my passions for the past 25 years has been supporting children, adolescents, and young adults who are neurodivergent to more fully participate across life contexts. Given my experience as a State of Connecticut K-12 certified special education teacher, background in behavioral therapy in school, home, community, and vocational settings, and previous role conducting comprehensive educational assessments to create individualized educational programs implemented via direct, individualized, data-driven instruction for a wide-range of neurodivergent learners, I am uniquely qualified to provide meaningful input.

"The human brain is as diverse as the human fingerprint."
