Mindfulness Meditation
Training & Consulting
According to beloved Vietnamese monk and teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh, mindfulness is the practice of “being aware of what is happening inside and around you in the present moment.” By consistently training one’s mind to return to the present, we cultivate a sense of spaciousness and well-being that promotes improved relationship dynamics, enhanced sense of self, increased focus, and many health and wellness benefits.

Zen is a no-nonsense meditation-based form of Buddhism that is simple yet profound in its messaging, particularly around the benefits of present-moment awareness, receptivity to suffering, and the idea of approaching life from the stance of "not knowing." By cultivating a "beginner's mind," one starts to approach life with a sense of curiosity and acceptance, particularly toward oneself and the nature of our life as it is. Zen is a way to awaken our true nature and approach life and our relationships accordingly.

In addition to engaging in my mindfulness practice daily for over ten years now, I am also a graduate of Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, where I was privileged to learn directly from some of this generation’s mindfulness leaders. Additionally, I have received training in Eugene Gendlin's embodiment and self-awareness enhancing process of focusing and was awarded a "Partner Focusing Proficiency Award" from The International Focusing Institute.

I am passionate about mindfulness, embodiment, and the dharma, and welcome the opportunity to support you in developing a daily practice that enhances your ability to live in response to life as opposed to living in reactivity. Additionally, I offer Training &/or Consulting Programs tailored to support you in enhancing your mindfulness meditation practice.

"Mindfulness is the continuous practice of touching deeply every moment of daily life. To be mindful is to be truly present with your body and your mind, to bring harmony to your intentions and actions, and to be in harmony with those around you." ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
